Our 2023 Family Photos
Confession time: I'm a family photographer and I have missed opportunities to schedule our own family photos before.
Yup. I talk about how important it is to take family photos. But, when it comes to documenting my own family, well I didn't always practice what I preached!
But that all changed a few years ago. Every summer we visit my dad's farm in Tennessee. The first couple of years we traveled there, I always thought it would be a great spot for photos. But, I never scheduled a session for us.
Finally, I decided to do something about it! For the past three years we have had our family photos taken at the Farm every summer. Its become a tradition now. Book a trip to the farm, book a photographer…they go hand in hand!
These photos are from our summer Tennessee trip. They were photographed by Erin McCall, who I now consider a friend. She’s an amazing photographer and when I first came across her work I was struck with how she captured genuine emotion. I knew I wanted to work with her and we booked our first session together in 2021. Last year Erin was settling in with her newborn and we missed each other. But, this year she was able to come out to the Farm and capture us again. And, I’m forever grateful!
